Biography

David’s commitment to justice began early in his professional career as partner in one of the oldest personal injury firms in Texas. He then opened his own firm, focusing on mass tort litigation where his skills could be used to simultaneously help thousands of injured individuals—in doing so David has obtained substantial verdicts and settlements in pharmaceutical and medical device litigation including winning a $73 million verdict* in September 2014 for a Texas woman in a transvaginal mesh sling case and a $33.7 million verdict* against a large IVC filter manufacturer in October 2019.

David’s drive to fight for his clients extends beyond medical device and drug litigation. He has handled employment and civil rights issues, environmental lawsuits, toxic torts, premises liability, plant explosions, nursing home abuse, priest abuse, wildfires, Roundup cancer, car and truck accidents, mesothelioma, and more.

Outside the courtroom, he’s a committed father to five children, a husband of over thirty years, and an active member in the community. He contributes to several charities, including Human Rights First, where he also serves on the board. He loves music, running, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
